Everything here is right on the money, Scott. I'm bookmarking this one as a reference motivator to look back on.

I'm 5'10" about 160lbs and my medical checkup printout puts me in the "overweight" category with a BMI of 25.5.

I suppose the chart has to start somewhere though right? Since then my BMI is now 24.75, so now I'm in the "normal" weight range.

For me, fitness is about keeping my hypertension in control and to stave off signs of aging and sickness. I don't want to feel bad. If I don't work out and eat healthy, I don't feel good at all. That's not to say that I'm perfect. I love my cheeseburgers and fries! LOL! But that's just it, we don't have to be perfect with it.

I use the 80/20 rule and make sure that I'm making the more healthier choices with diet and exercise at least 80% of the time. Then, it's ok to have that piece of cake or pizza and skip one workout in the 20%.
