We all know what love handles are right?
If for some odd reason, you don’t, I’ll tell you that it’s that stubborn fat on your sides that refuses to budge no matter how much you exercise.
If you’re like me and do all the right things (or at least you think you are), but those hanging flanks still be hanging on for dear life. And, I’m not a heavy person. So, even slim people can have love handles.
Now, don’t get me wrong though. Extra belly fat is usually why people have love handles. But then again, some overweight people don’t have love handles. So what’s the deal with this?
Here’s what I was surprised to learn about love handles and why yours may be hard to get rid of. It’s not necessarily because you’re not working hard enough. But it could be you’re making the common mistake of neglecting one key thing: insulin resistance.
